one of the best death doom bands so far. great melodies with great atmospheres. mostly slow, heavy and doomy but sometimes there are these groovy double-bass drum moments wich are pretty fucking cool. if you like death doom and melodic atmospheric black metal, this is for you.

Very lush expansive doom, lots of different arrangements and choral vocals, slow and sad and full of regret. Extremely high quality stuff. Sounds like a life’s work. Also quite heavy.

Listening to Noctu feels like slowly slipping below the surface of the ocean. You open your mouth to scream, bubbles escape, and saltwater fills your burning lungs. Cold, dead fingers grasp your ankles and pull you deeper, deeper into the inky black abyss. Noctu’s keyboard focus really gives this album a lovely creepy, haunted feel.
